Before you contact us, try this first.
Most digital file issues are resolved quickly once the correct file type, device or app is identified.
Your purchase may include an interactive HTML file, a PDF, or both. Check the product listing or the file guide included with your purchase to confirm which format you are using.
I cannot find my files.
Your download information is sent to the email address used at checkout.
Please check:
-
your order confirmation email,
-
your downloads folder,
-
your spam or junk folder,
-
and the email address used at checkout, which may differ from your usual address.
You may also be able to return to your original order email and access the download again.
If you still cannot locate your files, contact us at hello@pettyinpink.com.au with your order number.
My file will not download.
Try the following:
-
check that your internet connection is stable,
-
refresh the download page,
-
try a different browser,
-
temporarily disable any download-blocking browser extensions,
-
and make sure your device has enough available storage.
If the download began but did not complete, delete the incomplete file and download it again from your original order confirmation.
I cannot open the HTML file.
HTML files are interactive files designed to open in a web browser. They do not open in the same way as a PDF.
To open an HTML file on a computer:
-
Locate the file in your downloads folder.
-
Right-click the file.
-
Select Open with.
-
Choose Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox.
If the file opens as a page of code, it has been opened in a text editor rather than a browser. Close it, right-click the file and select a web browser instead.
The HTML file looks wrong.
If the file opens but the fonts, layout or sections do not display correctly:
-
try opening it in a different browser,
-
make sure your browser is up to date,
-
confirm that the file downloaded completely,
-
and download a fresh copy if the original file may be incomplete.
Chrome or Edge is usually a practical starting point on Windows. Safari or Chrome may be used on Apple devices.
Browser behaviour can vary slightly between devices.

My entries are not appearing in another file.
HTML and PDF versions are separate files.
Information entered into an HTML version will not automatically appear in the PDF version, and information written into a PDF will not transfer to the HTML file.
Choose one version as your main working copy unless you deliberately want to use the formats for different purposes.
I cannot open the PDF.
A PDF requires a PDF reader or compatible annotation app.
Try:
-
opening the file in your device’s standard PDF viewer,
-
importing it into a compatible annotation app,
-
downloading the file again,
-
or opening it on a different device.
If your browser shows only a blank page, download the PDF to your device rather than viewing it only inside the browser window.
The PDF links are not working.
Some PDFs include hyperlinks for navigation.
For hyperlinks to work:
-
open the file in an app that supports PDF links,
-
make sure you are in viewing or navigation mode rather than writing mode,
-
and check that the file has been imported completely.
Not every PDF app handles hyperlinks in the same way.
I want to write on the PDF.
You will need a compatible PDF annotation app.
Depending on the app and device, you may be able to:
-
handwrite with a stylus,
-
type into text boxes,
-
highlight,
-
add notes,
-
or use internal navigation links.
App features vary, so check the instructions for the app you use.
I want to print the PDF.
Some PDFs are designed for printing, while others are primarily intended for digital use.
Before printing:
-
check the product listing for page size,
-
use the recommended print setting,
-
select actual size or 100% scale unless instructed otherwise,
-
and print one test page before printing the full file.
Colours may vary between screens, printers and paper.
I downloaded the files on the wrong device.
You may download and use your purchased files on devices you personally own.
Return to your original order confirmation or download email and access the files again on the device you want to use.
You can also transfer the files using your usual cloud storage or file-sharing method.
I want to use the files on an iPad or tablet.
Your purchase includes both HTML and PDF versions where stated on the product page.
The PDF version can be imported into Goodnotes and other PDF annotation apps that support imported files and hyperlinks.
The HTML version opens in a web browser and is best suited to laptop or desktop use. Some features may also work in Safari on an iPad, although the layout is designed for a larger screen.
I made changes and now need the original file.
Keep an untouched copy of every purchase before you begin using it.
If you still have access to your original download, download a fresh copy. Otherwise, contact us with your order number and we will help you locate the original files.
I have a technical issue that is not listed here.
Contact us at hello@pettyinpink.com.au and include:
-
your order number,
-
the name of the product,
-
the file type you are using,
-
your device,
-
your browser or PDF app,
-
a description of the issue,
-
and a screenshot where possible.
The more detail you provide, the easier it will be to identify the problem.
Refunds and faulty files
Digital products are not generally refundable once downloaded, subject to our refund policy and any rights available under applicable consumer law.
If a file is corrupted, incomplete or materially different from the product description, contact us with your order details so the issue can be reviewed and, where appropriate, the file can be replaced.
Please refer to the full Refund Policy for complete terms.
